RAYVILLE, LA – Today in Richland Parish, the Rayville Post Office was officially renamed the “Luke Letlow Post Office Building” in honor of the late Congressman-elect Luke Letlow.

Congresswoman Letlow lost her husband Luke to COVID-19 on December 29, 2020, following his election to Congress and after years of service in both the federal and state governments.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Troy A. Carter, Sr. (D-LA), Congressman Cleo Fields (D-LA), Congresswoman Julia Letlow (R-LA), and Congressman Mike Ezell (R-MS) have introduced the bipartisan National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) Authorization Extension Act which will extend the federal authorization for the NFIP. The bill would extend the program through December 31, 2026, significantly longer than the typical short-term extensions passed by Congress.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Julia Letlow (R-LA) and Rep. Chris Deluzio (D-PA) today introduced legislation to boost rural economic development by better coordinating federal-state partnerships designed to promote entrepreneurship.

The Growing Regional Entrepreneurship and Access To Economic Resilience (GREATER) Act would create a partnership between the Small Business Administration, the Delta Regional Authority, and the Appalachian Regional Commission to support rural small business owners and expand entrepreneurship opportunities.

This funding, which provides a one-time payment to farmers of qualifying commodities facing economic hardship, was made available by year-end passage of the FARM Act sponsored by Reps. Trent Kelly (R-MS) and Julia Letlow (R-LA).

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Julia Letlow voted in support of legislation to block the implementation of a natural gas tax passed under President Biden and finalized near the end of his time in office.

The Waste Emissions Charge (WEC) imposes heavy regulatory burdens on oil and gas facilities, threatening higher energy prices for Louisiana families and greater dependence on foreign oil.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – In the wake of recent natural disasters causing severe damage to Louisiana’s timber economy, Congresswoman Julia Letlow has introduced legislation adding improvements to disaster relief programs for forest landowners.

Over a three-month period in late 2023, wildfires burned more than 60,000 acres of prime forest land in Louisiana, causing evacuations and severe damage to timber operations.
