Letlow Statement on Vote to End Shutdown

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman and House Appropriations Committee member Julia Letlow today released the following statement following congressional action to reopen the federal government.

“An entirely unnecessary government shutdown is finally coming to a close. Thankfully, enough Senate Democrats ended the political games and joined with Republicans to open the government and provide certainty for our troops, our veterans, and our Louisiana families reliant on food assistance. Over the next two months I will work to advance our remaining government funding bills in a transparent, fiscally responsible manner - with an eye on delivering targeted support for Louisiana’s needs.”
