WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Julia Letlow voted in support of legislation to block the implementation of a natural gas tax passed under President Biden and finalized near the end of his time in office.

The Waste Emissions Charge (WEC) imposes heavy regulatory burdens on oil and gas facilities, threatening higher energy prices for Louisiana families and greater dependence on foreign oil.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – In the wake of recent natural disasters causing severe damage to Louisiana’s timber economy, Congresswoman Julia Letlow has introduced legislation adding improvements to disaster relief programs for forest landowners.

Over a three-month period in late 2023, wildfires burned more than 60,000 acres of prime forest land in Louisiana, causing evacuations and severe damage to timber operations.

BATON ROUGE -- Woman's Hospital in Louisiana is now the sixth recipient in the state to distribute Maternal Health and Newborn Supply Kits.

These kits are part of the Maternal Health and Newborn Supply Kit program, a joint venture between the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Baby2Baby, a non-profit.

Letlow won a landslide election to represent Louisiana's 5th Congressional District in 2020 but died of COVID before he could be seated.
