Letlow Secures $6.6 Million in Infrastructure Funding for Ouachita Parish
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Julia Letlow has secured over $6 million in Community Project Funding to support Ouachita Parish’s highway, storm drainage, and sewer infrastructure.
- $2.2 million for the Ouachita Parish Capels Road Corridor Reconstruction Improvement Project to complete the rebuilding of 2.5 miles of roadway from the intersection of Capels Road and Winnfield Road east to the intersection with Marion Sims Road.
- $2.2 million for Monroe’s City-Wide Storm Drainage & Sanitary Sewer Project to make improvements and upgrades of stormwater drainage and sewer systems in the downtown area of Monroe.
- $2.2 million for West Monroe’s Downing Pines Road Improvements to add a turn lane from Downing Pines to Thomas Road and repair 1.7 miles of roadway from the intersection of Downing Pines Road and Thomas Road to the intersection of Downing Pines Road and U.S. 80.
The funding passed as part of the FY 2026 transportation funding bill, which cleared Congress on Tuesday and was signed into law by President Trump.
