WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Julia Letlow has secured $2 million in Community Project Funding to support Amite’s local water and sewer infrastructure.

This federal investment will provide funding for a regional wastewater treatment facility, ensuring improvements to water and sewer services for local residents. The funding passed as part of the FY 2026 Interior and Environment Appropriations bill which cleared Congress on Thursday, and will be administered by the Town of Amite.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Julia Letlow has secured $1.3 million in Community Project Funding to purchase new police cruisers and other equipment for local law enforcement in Louisiana’s 5th District.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Through her work on the House Appropriations Committee, Congresswoman Julia Letlow has delivered nearly $4 million in Community Project Funding to support LSU’s efforts to reduce flood risk in South Louisiana.

The $3.7 million investment will be used to establish the Center for Risks, Insurability, and Sustainable Protection (CRISP) at LSU. The funding passed as part of the FY 2026 Commerce, Justice, and Science Appropriations bill which cleared Congress on Thursday.
