“What better way to honor the sacrifices of the men and women who served in uniform and fought for our freedoms and even died for our freedoms. It’s time to protect the American flag from desecration,” Letlow said.

On Sunday LSU captured their eighth NCAA Division I baseball title, capping off a 53-win season with an undefeated College World Series run. Letlow's 5th Congressional District includes LSU's campus.

Louisiana Congresswoman Julia Letlow has filed legislation that would help agricultural producers impacted by disruptions to the global trade market. Letlow says the bill would create a dedicated fund that would allow the Trump Administration to respond swiftly to trade-related losses.

“The president would then have the ability to deposit tariff revenues we collect on imported ag product into this account. Then, these funds could then be used to offset losses suffered by American producers due to market changes as a result of the tariffs,” Letlow said.

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A bill filed by Congresswoman Julia Letlow aims to create a fund to help farmers who experience trade-related losses.

Letlow’s office said the dedicated fund, referred to as the Tariff Responses and Damages to exports (TRADE) fund, would allow the presidential administration to deposit revenue from tariffs on foreign agricultural products into an account to offset farmers’ losses.
