Letlow Joins U.S. Education Secretary to Launch “Return Education to the States” Tour in Baton Rouge
BATON ROUGE, LA – Today Congresswoman Julia Letlow joined State Superintendent Cade Brumley in welcoming U.S. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon to Baton Rouge to tour Great Hearts Harveston Charter School and begin the Secretary’s “Return Education to the States” Tour.
The group visited multiple classrooms and engaged with educators on best practices for improving learning outcomes.
“It was an honor to welcome Secretary McMahon to Baton Rouge and to see innovation on full display in our classrooms. I share Secretary McMahon’s vision of empowering states to lead on education and strengthening the role of charter schools like Great Hearts Harveston,” said Congresswoman Letlow. “Educational outcomes in Louisiana are on the rise, and I’ll continue working with the Trump Administration to ensure that every child has access to a quality education that is driven by state and local leaders.”
