Letlow Will Travel to Israel with Congressional Delegation

February 18, 2022

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Julia Letlow (LA-05) today announced that she will be participating in an official visit to Israel this week with a group of congressional colleagues. Letlow and the delegation will be departing the United States later this morning and are set to return on Feb. 26.

During the trip, Letlow will meet with senior Israeli leaders and discuss strategic partnerships between the United States and Israel, the Abraham Accords and the ongoing peace process, and important political and economic trends in the region.

“As the only democracy in the Middle East, Israel is one of our nation’s most critical allies,” Letlow said. “We have more than just shared strategic objectives, we are bound together by our shared values. I look forward to participating in the important conversations about the future of our relationship and discussing how we can find new ways for our two countries to work together.”

The delegation’s trip is sponsored by the American Israel Educational Foundation (AIEF), which regularly sponsors Israel visits for both Republican and Democratic members, in compliance with Congressional Ethics guidelines. The travel costs are paid by AIEF, an organization which is privately funded by American citizens.
