Letlow Statement on Severe Weather Affecting Louisiana

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Julia Letlow released the following statement on extreme rainfall hitting Louisiana.

“Louisiana communities continue to experience heavy rainfall as a result of Tropical Storm Arthur, with additional rain and flooding expected. Residents in affected areas should avoid dangerous roads and follow guidance from local officials.

As the storm progresses, my office is in close contact with local officials, government agencies, and farmers impacted by crop losses. I will continue to closely monitor conditions on the ground and advocate for emergency assistance.
