Letlow Secures Law Enforcement Funding for Capital Region

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Julia Letlow has secured $1.4 million in Community Project Funding to purchase new police cruisers for local law enforcement in the Capital Region.

The funding will be distributed through the Capital District Law Enforcement Planning Council in Denham Springs, ensuring the purchase of two new cruisers for law enforcement in communities throughout the Capital Region. The funding passed as part of the FY 2026 Commerce, Justice, and Science Appropriations bill which cleared Congress on Thursday.

“Public safety is the most important priority of government, and I will always work to support our law enforcement community and keep Louisianans safe,” said Congresswoman Julia Letlow. “Fighting crime in the Capital Region is crucial to ensuring safe streets and a high quality of life, and I will continue using my role on the House Appropriations Committee to advance that mission.”
