Letlow Delivers Significant Investment in Northeast Louisiana Port Infrastructure

February 4, 2026

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Julia Letlow has secured $5 million in Community Project Funding to support crucial repairs to port infrastructure along the Mississippi River in Northeast Louisiana.

Funding for the Delta Link Louisiana Regional Ports Improvement Project passed as part of the FY 2026 transportation funding bill, which cleared Congress on Tuesday and was signed into law by President Trump. The $5 million will support infrastructure improvements at the Ports of Lake Providence, Tensas, and Vidalia.

“Our river infrastructure drives economic development throughout Louisiana, and these upgrades are essential to supporting our agricultural and manufacturing industries,” said Congresswoman Julia Letlow. “With this investment that I secured through the Appropriations Committee, Northeast Louisiana will continue to be a growing hub for transporting valuable commodities and materials.”
