Letlow Delivers $2 Million for Local Infrastructure in Amite
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Julia Letlow has secured $2 million in Community Project Funding to support Amite’s local water and sewer infrastructure.
This federal investment will provide funding for a regional wastewater treatment facility, ensuring improvements to water and sewer services for local residents. The funding passed as part of the FY 2026 Interior and Environment Appropriations bill which cleared Congress on Thursday, and will be administered by the Town of Amite.
“I am committed to ensuring the Florida Parishes have strong representation in Washington that delivers for small towns like Amite. This funding will provide much-needed improvements for Amite’s wastewater management, improving public services for local residents in Tangipahoa Parish,” said Congresswoman Julia Letlow. “Through my seat on the House Appropriations Committee, I will continue to deliver wins for the Florida Parishes.”
