Letlow Announces Congressional App Challenge Winners for the Fifth District

January 12, 2022

DELHI, LA– Congresswoman Julia Letlow (LA-05) today announced that four students from Delhi Charter School in Richland Parish were selected as the winners of the Congressional App Challenge for Louisiana’s Fifth District.

The students, Payton Greer, Harley Jinks, Kaden Sauseda, and Jennifer Wright, created the MedTracker app, which is designed to help medical professionals keep track of a patient’s relevant information such as prescriptions, medications, and allergies. The students were inspired to create the app after seeing so many patients receive home health care during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I’m so impressed by the MedTracker app that these incredible students have created,” Letlow said. “They saw a glaring need in our communities and put their heads together to find a solution. They truly represent some of the best and brightest young minds that we have here in the Fifth District.”

Letlow and her staff visited Delhi Charter on Jan. 7th to present the students with their award. The group will be traveling to Washington, D.C. later this year to demonstrate their app alongside winners from across the country.
