Letlow Announces $3.5 Million for Alexandria International Airport

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congresswoman Julia Letlow (LA-05) today announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation is awarding a $3.5 million Airport Improvement Grant to Alexandria International Airport. The funding will be used to purchase land adjacent to their airport to assist with noise mitigation efforts for the community.
 
“The Alexandria International Airport is a critical transportation hub for the CenLa region,” Letlow said. “This federal investment will ensure that the airport is a strong economic driver and will continue to attract jobs and opportunity to the Fifth District for years to come.”
