Congresswoman Julia Letlow (LA-05) Announces 2024 Congressional Art Competition Winner

July 3, 2024

START, LOUISIANA - Today, Congresswoman Julia Letlow announced Laura Arnold as the winner of the 2024 Congressional Art Competition from the Fifth District of Louisiana.

Laura is a recent graduate of Quitman High School, and won the competition with her piece “Chicken Bits.” The focal point of the piece is a hen made from blue, orange, and brown collage pieces.

Her piece is now displayed in the halls of Congress alongside other winners from each district across the country.

“I look forward to the Congressional Art Competition each year to see all of the incredible talent we have in our communities. Lauren’s piece beautifully captures the unique array of agriculture we are surrounded by in the Fifth District, and showcases a level of artistic skill and creativity that I can only wish to have. I enjoy walking by Lauren’s piece each time I am headed to the House floor for votes, and I will continue to show it off to each tour group that comes up for a visit,” said Congresswoman Letlow.
