Congresswoman Opens Office in Amite

More than 80 people attend the ribbon cutting ceremony in Congresswoman Julia Letlow's new office at 109 E. Oak St., Amite, across from the Amite Chamber of Commerce office Tuesday where a reception was held immediately following.

Chamber President TJ Reid, said, “Amite is extremely pleased to have this office open daily in downtown Amite and appreciates Rep. Letlow for choosing Amite, the parish seat.”

US Rep. Letlow represents Congressional District 5 of Louisiana, which meanders from northwest and northeast parts of the state and along the Mississippi border to include most of the geography of Tangipahoa Parish.

She has also opened offices in Alexandria and Monroe.
