Congresswoman Julia Letlow asks Congress to withhold her paycheck

MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Congresswoman Julia Letlow has requested that Congress withhold her paycheck while the partial government shutdown continues.

”DHS employees are still working without pay due to political games from DC Democrats. I’ve requested that my own pay be withheld while many of America’s frontline workers suffer without a paycheck," Letlow wrote on “X,” formerly known as Twitter.

This comes as several agencies, including the TSA, Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Transportation, and the Treasury departments are impacted.
