Filing a Hurricane Related Claim
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Small Business Administration (SBA) will start allowing individuals and businesses to file claims as soon as the President has declared a federal emergency for areas impacted by Hurricane Ida. To find if your region has been approved for assistance, visit www.disasterassistance.gov. If you’re eligible, this link will also direct you to the online forms to apply for both FEMA and SBA assistance. If you are unable to access the internet, you can call FEMA’s help line at 1-800-621-3362 and the SBA’s Customer Service Center at 1-800-659-2955.

Blue Roof Program
Operation Blue Roof, a program administered by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, is installing temporary fiber-reinforced sheeting to cover roofs damaged by Hurricane Ida. Filing With Your Insurance Company
As part of your cleanup efforts, you’ll need to file the necessary claims with your insurance company. For specific guidance from the Louisiana Department of Insurance on filing an insurance claim for Hurricane damage, click HERE.
